It caught my eye today: another verse that proves the Bible is alive for us on any given day at any given time!!!!
In the Upper Room today, the reading was Ecclesiastes 3:1-12. We all should know this one; I would describe it as: “There are Seasons.”
The Mamas and the Papas sang a song that put a lot of these words in the song written by a band called the Byrds (“Turn, Turn, Turn”).
Today, I saw something that hits close to home for everyone. It was tucked into Scripture.
Ecclesiastes 3:5b, a time to “embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,”
Sounds familiar for these times, doesn’t it? The Bible is the very words of God, as is His Holy Spirit, the very breath of God. That’s why they call it the “Living Word.” Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.“
Isaiah 55:11, “So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.“
John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
Read more of the Word—The Bible—and listen for the Holy Spirit. You will be amazed at how it pertains to you at any given moment of your life.
